Karlsruhe, April 9, 2024 – WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative provider of industrial computing technology, announces the release of the Rocktab U210 Pro rugged tablet. The fully rugged 10 -inch tablet combines maximum performance and robustness in a compact housing and is aimed at professionals in demanding environments such as field service, logistics and production.
The Rocktab U210 Pro sets new standards in multitasking and performance. It is equipped with a 13th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor with 10 cores and a powerful hybrid architecture. With 16GB of LPDDR5 memory (32GB available on a project-by-project basis), the industrial tablet enables smooth operation even with complex processes. An ultra-fast NVMe SSD with up to 1 TB provides plenty of storage space for applications, images and documentation.
Despite its slim design, it is designed to meet and exceed the military standard MIL-STD-810G. It can easily withstand a 1.5m drop under harsh conditions and has been subjected to the Drum Test to verify its drop resistance in everyday use. It is also dustproof to IP65 and can even withstand jets of water. With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, the Rocktab U210 Pro is suitable for extreme conditions.
The tablet’s scratch-resistant 10.1-inch touchscreen display offers an adaptive brightness of 800 cd/m² for excellent readability, even in bright sunlight. It even exceeds IK06 impact resistance and enables precise operation with 10-point multi-touch. The touchscreen is gesture-enabled and can be used with gloves or in the rain. A matching digitizer pen is available as an option.
The replaceable battery has a total capacity of 64 Wh and promises a runtime of up to 8 hours. The hot – swap feature also allows the battery to be changed on the fly for unlimited runtime.
As a versatile work device, the Rocktab U210 Pro offers a wide range of modern features. In terms of connectivity, the Rocktab U210 Pro scores with its integrated WiFi6E WLAN module and optional 4G LTE connectivity. The integrated high-end GPS module from uBlox enables precise positioning even in difficult environments. The Rocktab U210 Pro also features two USB 3.1 Type C ports, one USB 3.1 Type A port, one Ethernet port and optional docking stations for easy integration into existing work environments.
The optional high-end 2D bar code scanner with laser pointer is mounted on the narrow side of the tablet without protruding. This allows for a slim design and ergonomic operation.
With the optional Office Docking Station, the Rocktab U210 Pro is the perfect balance between field and office work. It expands the tablet with a monitor output, network connection and USB ports, transforming it into a full-fledged office workstation. The docking station eliminates the need for an additional desktop computer, saving time and reducing IT costs.
