WEROCK announces the launch of two rugged notebooks. The powerful, innovative laptops are designed for professional, industrial use with complex tasks in a wide variety of locations where strong performance and particularly high reliability are required. They come with 11th generation Intel® Core™ processors (up to i7) and up to 32 GB of RAM, are capable of the new Wi-Fi 6 WLAN standard and have passed the toughest tests with flying colors.
The new Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 laptops meet the demands of field service professionals in numerous industries. That’s because Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 were designed for just such situations: they come with a host of advanced communications features – including options for LTE and 5G (expected in winter 2022). They can be used with all major GPS navigation systems, have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and also offer numerous interfaces such as three USB 3 ports, HDMI and a serial port.
They run the latest Windows 11 Pro and 11th generation Intel® Core™ UP3-Series processors (i5 and i7) along with integrated Intel® Iris® Xe graphics and up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory. The result is excellent performance for a wide range of data- and/or graphics-intensive usage scenarios while at the same time being economical in power consumption. Both devices feature excellent expansion options: The NVMe main memory is available in various configurations up to 1 TB, a hard drive slot enables the expansion by another 5 TB of storage capacity, and flexible data transfer is possible via the SDXC card slot.
The bright (700 nits) 14 or 15.6 inch Full-HD displays ensure perfect display legibility at night and in bright sunlight. Optionally, the models are also available with glove-operated touchscreen. Rockbook X540 and Rockbook X550 G2 also offer the latest physical security and data protection features. A discrete TPM 2.0 module, optional self-encrypting hard drives, and integrated Device Protection Technology with Boot Guard all contribute to system protection. A fingerprint sensor already included in the standard scope of delivery supports secure logins via Windows Hello, while the integrated Kensington Lock slot protects the workstation against theft.
The fully rugged laptops are light and compact for their class, weighing just 2.85 and 3.3 kg, respectively. Thanks to the integrated carrying handles, the devices are very comfortable even during transport. For long workdays, the Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 come with two batteries: a 46.6 Wh hot-swap battery as well as an additional fixed 14.8 Wh battery. The device remains fully functional during battery replacement. The compact form factor and two hot-swappable batteries make both models ideal for extended use in the field.
Rockbook X540 and X550 G2 are ruggedized for all the rigors of field service: they are IP65 dust and water resistant, meet military standards (MIL-STD-810G) for temperature, humidity and vibration, are 26-sided tested for drops from 122 cm. They are also suitable for use within extreme temperatures from -20°C to +60°C. This guarantees the highest level of performance and reliability.
